Today’s Star Spangled Salute Honors 97-Year old veteran Bennie Fecito. Bennie has been working since he took his first job shining shoes at the age of 7. Bennie served in the Army Air Force during World War II as a gunner on a B-25 Mitchell bomber. Bennie claims to have retired back in the 80’s but his latest gig is a 4-hour shift, 2 days a week at the local grocery store. Benny doesn’t take any breaks either. If his boss says take a break, Bennie says, “Why would I take a break, I only get to work 4 hours”. Thank you Bennie for your hard work and your service.
