A day of fun for the family is taking place in Wellington Saturday in honor of Youth Mental Health Awareness Day 2019.
The event features a fun run and walk at 9:00 a.m. followed by a speech from Miss Kansas, Hannah Klaassen. The event begins at Heritage Park at 7th and Washington in Wellington.
Happening at the event:
- Fun run/walk starts at 9:00 a.m.
- Mayoral proclamation
- Miss Kansas, Hannah Klaassen will give a speech
- Local businesses will have booths
- Wellington High School choir will perform
- Art chalking
- Face paint
- Zumba
- Free hot dog lunch and ice cream will close out the event
- Shirts available for purchase for $10 each ($11 for sizes XL+) with proceeds benefitting future youth events in Sumner County.
