Star Spangled Salute: A Veteran Walks For Homeless Veterans

Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 71-year old Air Force veteran William Shuttleworth.  In his retirement, William says he walks 20 to 25 miles a day because he enjoys it. So, he said why not make a straight shot across the country and engage people in conversations that have a real meaningful purpose.  Today, William begins that journey to do just that.  He will be leaving his hometown of Newburyport, Massachusetts and walking 3,000 miles to Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. His planned route will having him coming through Kansas.  Along the way, his goal is to draw attention and raise money for the plight of homeless veterans.  Thank you William for your dedication and your service.
