The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says a missing deputy is now believed to be outside the United States.
29-year-old Derik Chandler was reported missing after he was identified as a suspect in a felony case investigated by Wellington Police and the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office. Chandler had been a Sedgwick County deputy for a year and 10 months.
Sedgwick County officials say they are no longer asking for help from the public in finding Chandler or his vehicle, and no other information is being released at this time.
