Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors veteran Gabriel White. Gabriel, was a sniper in the Marines and served 2 tours in Iraq. The 34-year old has now taken the sharp eye he had in the military and is now using it to scour local rivers and forests, looking for the next gift from nature that will inspire his art work. Gabriel works with reclaimed glass and wood that he finds because he likes the history of it but he also likes the idea of taken something broken or forgotten and turning it into something beautiful. He says beautiful things can come from broken places. Thank you Gabriel for your gifts and your service.
