Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors a 91-year old World War II veteran and Dylan Tetil. Dylan was a server at a diner where the 91-year old veteran was sitting alone. Dylan got down on one knee to talk to the man who apologized for not being able to hear too well because he forgot his hearing aid. He started to explain how his hearing was damaged in World War II and that he didn’t have anyone to talk to these days. From that moment, Dylan sat, took his time, listened to the veteran talk and tell stories and even sat with him when he was on his break. The kind moment was all captured by another customer in the diner, and has since gone viral. Thank you Dylan for your kindness and to that veteran, thank you for your service.
