Star Spangled Salute: A Vietnam Veteran Makes Sure We Never Forget

Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam Veteran Joe Klingman and all the other cyclists on a 2-day, 198-mile bike ride to honor the memories of those who died on 9/11 and to make sure we never forget this day.  They started at the Pentagon, and today their journey finishes at the Flight 93 Memorial where they will commemorate the 18th anniversary of the terror attacks.  Joe says, “People have short memories and things kind of fade away, so we want to make sure this doesn’t fade away.” Joe and his fellow riders say they don’t want people to forget September 11th and the 2,977 Americans killed that day.  The also made a stop at the National Firefighters Memorial to honor all first responders.  Thank you Joe and all the riders for your dedication and thank you Joe for your service.
