A 40-year-old man was fatally shot early Friday morning.
This was reported at a home in the 4000 block of East Bayley, near Lincoln and Oliver. Wichita police say the victim and a 42-year-old man went to the home around 4 a.m. and a fight broke out. One shot was fired during this fight at the 40-year-old was taken to a hospital in a private car, where he later died.
A third person was involved in this incident but police have not released specifics on that individual. It is not known if investigators are still looking for anyone in connection to this shooting. It is also unclear who lived at the home where this happened and why the two men went to that home.
An investigation is in the early stages so not may details are being released at the moment.
