Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors veteran Terry Hunt. Terry is blind and for years has been receiving care from his local VA. A few years back Terry talked about how he wished he could participate in water sports. Lucky for Terry the timing was perfect because a local chapter of the national non-profit, Team River Runner, had just started up. Team River Runner helps veterans and their families find health, healing, community purpose and new challenges though adventure and adaptive paddle sports. Terry enthusiastically said yes and has been kayaking for 5 years and loves every minute of it. He recently entered a race and finished first. Thank you Team River Runner for helping veterans and thank you Terry for your service.
