Wichita Library Celebrates “Kansas Reads to Preschoolers” Month

The Wichita Public Library will join libraries across the state this November for “Kansas Reads to Preschoolers,” a program that helps create young readers through early learning activities. The month-long event promotes reading to Kansas children from birth to age five. This year, parents, librarians, early childhood professionals and caregivers are encouraged to read I Like Myself! by Karen Beaumont. A celebration of “Kansas Reads to Preschoolers” will be held 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 26 at the Evergreen Branch Library, 2601 N. Arkansas. Children will participate in a special story time as well as games and activities that are as unique as they are.

Other programs include:

Puppet Show: All About Me
Monday, November 4; 10:30-11:15 a.m.; Advanced Learning Library, 711 W. 2nd St.
