KFDI News interviewed new Mayor-elect Brandon Whipple during the election and this interview aired on Country 101.3 KFDI on Sunday. We also aired interviews with the other candidates, Jeff Longwell and Lyndy Wells.

KFDI News is presenting the audio of the interview so Wichitans can learn more about their new mayor-elect in case they missed its original airing. We asked him what his goals as Mayor of Wichita would be.

Whipple captured 46 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s election to defeat incumbent Jeff Longwell, who had 36 percent. The write-in votes only added up to 17 percent.
Whipple will take office in January.
