A 25-year-old man arrived at Via Christi-St. Joseph hospital around 2:30 a.m. that morning with multiple gunshot wounds.  He was transferred to St. Francis in critical condition, but survived.

A 23-year-old woman was also struck in the leg.  Her injuries at the time were not life-threatening.

Atkinson is a documented gang member and should be considered armed and dangerous.  He’s described as 6’2″, medium build, bald with a black beard and brown eyes, and weighing about 215 pounds.
