A man who died during a carjacking early Saturday morning has been identified.
Wichita Police were called to the 900 block of South Mission, near Lincoln and Woodlawn around 2:30 a.m. When they arrived, the contacted a 40-year-old man who was outside of a home and saw a 42-year-old man underneath a Chrysler 300 who had been critically injured.
The man, identified as 42-year-old David Lee died at the scene from his injuries. Police arrested the 40-year-old man on charges of second-degree murder and say the incident stemmed from a carjacking.
KFDI News is not releasing the suspect’s name until he is formally charged.
