Two Augusta residents are hospitalized following a stabbing Saturday afternoon.
It happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. when police were called to a disturbance in the southern part of the city. When they arrived, they found a 59-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.
Both were transported by Butler County EMS to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. The woman is in critical condition, while the man was seriously injured.
A 28-year-old suspect who fled the scene has been located and arrested. It’s unknown yet what his relationship is to the victims.
Police in Augusta are still investigating.
