Police in Augusta have a 28-year-old man in custody after a stabbing that sent a man and woman to a Wichita hospital.
The stabbing was reported around 12:20 p.m Saturday at a home in the south part of Augusta. 59-year-old Dana Haynes was in critical condition after the stabbing and 58-year-old Jeffrey Carley was in serious condition. They had been stabbed several times during a disturbance.
Police said the suspect ran from the scene, but he was taken into custody later and booked into the Butler County jail on two counts of aggravated battery. No other details have been released.
