Three people were caught after a car chase in west Wichita Wednesday night.
This started as an attempted traffic stop for a minor violation near 21st and Ridge. Sedgwick County deputies chased the driver in a large circle that went up to K-96 and ended in the same area where the chase started. Speeds reached 100-mph at times.
Deputies used spike strips but the driver was able to get around them.
A deputy ended up using their car to push the driver off the road, ending the chase. Two people were arrested on the spot and a third was taken to a hospital to get checked out.
The Sheriff’s Office hasn’t said why the driver decided to try and run from the stop.
