The Kansas Highway Patrol said a woman was killed Thursday morning when her SUV was involved in a crash with three other vehicles in Cowley County.
The accident was reported around 10:15 a.m. on K-15 at 61st Road, near Udall. Troopers said the SUV crossed a center line and sideswiped a vehicle, then crashed head-on into an eastbound tow truck. A car that was behind the SUV then crashed into the other vehicles.
The driver of the SUV, 30-year-old Hilary Archambeau of Winfield, was dead at the scene. Three other people were taken to Wichita hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
K-15 was closed in both directions for much of the day while troopers investigated the crash.
