Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Veteran Scott Buis and Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. Scott served in the Army and returned home after 9/11. He said the world had changed and it was hard to return to civilian life, but he did. Scott went on to become a social worker to help other Veterans by giving them a strong support system. Scott said he wouldn’t be where he is today without his wife, his daughter, his dog and football. Oh, by the way, Scott is a huge Chiefs fan and the hand written letter he got from Patrick Mahomes, thanking him for his service, brought him to tears. Thank you Patrick for your support of our veterans through letters like this and the homes you help build for Veterans, and thank you Scott for your service.
