Hutchinson police took a man into custody after a three-hour standoff Friday afternoon.
An armed man had locked himself inside a home near 2nd and Taylor around 2 p.m. Friday. Police were called to the home on a report that the man was suicidal and had fired shots. Family members got out of the home and negotiators were able to convince the man to walk out of the house peacefully. There were no injuries.
Police believe the man may have had a mental health crisis, and he was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
