One person is reported to have been fatally hurt in a house fire Sunday morning.

Someone called 911 shortly before 9 a.m., reporting a fire in a home in the 2100 block of South St. Francis. As crews were headed to the home, another report came in that someone was trapped inside. There were visible flames when firefighters made it to the home, and one person was found inside. Injuries were first described as critical, but the injured died shortly after.

So far there is no word on what started this fire or why the person in the home was not able to get out.
