UPDATE: The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal crash in McPherson County Thursday morning.
56-year-old Jeffrey Killgore of El Dorado was struck and killed by a vehicle on northbound I-135 about a mile north of Moundridge.
The KHP said Killgore had stopped on the right shoulder to help another driver who had hit a guardrail around 6:20 a.m. Killgore was then struck by another vehicle.
