The “Cruise Douglas Quarantine Edition” was shut down by Wichita Police, Saturday night.
It was an effort to allow people to cruise Douglas and practice social distancing while remaining in their cars.
A number of complaints were reported, including racing, burnouts, driving on sidewalks and people not practicing social distancing. Those complaints happened between Hydraulic to the Arkansas River.
The Wichita Police had to do what’s best for everyone’s safety by closing the Cruise down.
