Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors the men and women of the NYPD and the extra they gave for a 94-year old Korean War Veteran amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.  The other day, the NYPD responded to an emergency 911 call expecting to arrive to a medical emergency.  Instead, they came upon a Korean War Veteran who was out of food and was trying to get a hold of a grocery delivery service with no luck.  The officers then did something special, they rallied, went shopping for the man and paid for his groceries despite the man offering to pay.   Thank you to the NYPD and thank you to the Veteran for his service.
