Sumner County sheriff’s deputies recovered a body found in a river Sunday afternoon
It’s speculated that body had been in the river for several days, and the gender of the victim could not be determined.
The victim was pulled from the Ninnescah River near 130th South and West Street.
Sumner County Sheriff Darren Chambers could provide no details other than the unidentified person was found in a box. The case still under investigation and the body is being transported to the coroner’s office in Wichita for further examination.
