Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Combat Veteran Kenny King. After Kenny was medically retired from the Army, thoughts of suicide crept in and his PTSD after combat left him isolated. Knowing the struggle all too well, Kenny wanted to do something to help other Veterans and raise awareness to the 22 Veterans who take their life each day. While the number has been updated to 17, Kenny says a lot of Veteran suicides go untracked. So, he fasted for 22 days, no eating, just water. He said it was an incredible experience that gave him so much clarity. Thank you Kenny for raising awareness and thank you for your service.
