More COVID-19 clusters identified in Sedgwick, Harvey counties

More COVID-19 clusters identified in Sedgwick, Harvey counties

Sedgwick County health officials have identified three new clusters of COVID-19 activity at care facilities, while a new cluster was reported Friday in Harvey County.

Health officials said Medicalodges in Goddard has reported 24 cases, involving 15 residents and 9 staff members.   In Wichita, Regent Park Assisted Living at 10,600 East 13th has had 16 cases with 9 residents and 7 staff members.   Rolling Hills Health and Rehab at 1319 South Seville in Wichita has identified 30 cases with 21 residents and 9 staff members.

All residents and staff at the facilities have been tested, and the care facilities are working with health officials on safety precautions.

In Harvey County, 9 cases of coronavirus have been identified at the Kidron Bethel Village facility in North Newton.  The cases involve 6 residents in health care and assisted living along with 3 staff members.   They have been isolated and the source of the exposure is still under investigation.
