Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors the National Native American Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. It’s been 25 years in the making, but the new memorial on the National Mall in Washington D.C., highlighting a group of Americans that served at a greater rate than most other groups. A history of service that goes back to wars like The Spanish American War and Little Big Horn. When it’s safe to travel, Native Veterans hope to sanctify the site, when people bring their memories and prayers to the new memorial it will make it sacred. To all the Native American Veterans, THANK YOU for your service.
