The Kansas Department of Corrections is reporting an inmate death at the El Dorado prison.
31-year-old Brett Phillips passed away on Sunday. Officials did not give a specific cause of death but say it does not appear to be COVID-19 related.
An investigation is ongoing.
Phillips was serving an 82-month sentence for multiple convictions for burglary, distribution and possession with intent to distribute.
