The Salvation Army in Wichita said Friday it has just over half its goal for the annual Red Kettle fundraising campaign for Christmas.
There are fewer kettle locations in Wichita and Sedgwick County this year, and the last day for the Red Kettles will be Thursday, December 24th.
The agency said it is facing greater need this year, and with the coronavirus pandemic the concern is with utility bills, rent and mortgages, along with food needs. The donations from the Red Kettle drive will be used to help families in need throughout 2021.
