Wichita police have identified two people who were killed in a crash near Webb and Central early Thursday.
Police said a driver lost control on Webb, between Central and Douglas, and hit a tree. Two people in the car were killed and a third person was taken to a hospital. There were no other cars involved in the crash.
The victims were identified as 26-year-old Eduardo Viurques and 28-year-old Boris Guzman-Mendoza, both from Wichita. A 32-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Investigators are working to find if speed or alcohol were factors in this crash. Police said this is the 35th fatal accident of the year.
