Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Navy Veteran Samuel Young and the kindness of strangers. Samuel went from being a Navy parachute rigger that traveled all over the country to being homeless with nothing buy himself and his service dog Sarge. Recently, Sarge came down with a bad eye infection and it would be a post on social media that would changes things for Samuel and Sarge. Thousands of comments and contributions came in to help Sarge and in turn, Samuel is now getting the help he needs with a roof over his head and steps in the right direction to get him back on his feet.
