Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Navy Veteran Maxwell Moore. Maxwell spent 16-years with the Navy and when he returned home to civilian life his local VA suggested he pick up a hobby to help him with his PTSD. So, he fell back on something he used to do as a child, making soap. It’s that childhood skill that kept him alive, says the COO of Maxwell’s Soaps . One day Maxwell was walking down the street and when asked for some spare change, all he had was a bar of soap he made so he gave the person that and saw how grateful they were, and that’s when the light bulb went on for Maxwell. Maxwell said when he was serving and could get a shower, his humanity and patience was reinvigorated. His company now gives back to make the world better place.
