A Wichita man is charged with two counts of first degree murder for the deaths of two teenagers earlier this month.
22-year-old Dontenize Kelly made his first appearance in court Tuesday, and his bond was set at $1 million. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 1st.
Kelly is charged in the killings of 17-year-old Michael Beasly and 18-year-old Kaylah Blackmon. Beasly’s body was found on February 1st outside an abandoned church near 9th and Ash. Police began searching for Blackmon, Beasly’s girlfriend, and her body was found inside her SUV at a south Wichita apartment complex on February 4th.
No details have been released on a motive for the killings.
