Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran Michael Marshall. In 2012, Michael was homeless, 9 years later, thanks to the support he received from the HUD-VASH program, he works at the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Chicago as a certified peer support specialist. The formerly homeless Veteran’s job – and his personal goal – is to support Veterans like himself who have experienced homelessness. Michael knows that his journey is an example and inspiration that could help other Veterans move forward and achieve THEIR dreams. Thank you Michael for changing lives and THANK YOU for your service.
