Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors AMVETS Post 40 in Tazwell, Virginia, the organization Family Readiness and Military Ease and the company Mission BBQ. Together they teamed up Thursday to feed homeless Veterans in their town. However, they didn’t stop there. The went on to feed local military and first responders too. Covid-19 restrictions were in place but that didn’t stop the volunteers saying, “We’re not going to stop giving back to those who bravely protect serve and save our community.” To all the volunteers, THANK YOU and to all the Veterans, THANK YOU for your service.
