Police looking for suspect in east Wichita shooting

UPDATE:   Police are looking for a 29-year-old man in connection with a shooting at a southeast Wichita apartment complex.   Byron T. Brown is considered to be armed and dangerous.  Anyone with information on his is urged to call 911.

Brown is wanted for the shooting of a woman in her mid-20s at an apartment in the 10,000 block of East Boston, near Harry and Webb Road.  The shooting happened around 9:30 Saturday morning.

Police released a photo of Brown and they’re asking the public for help in finding him.

An unidentified woman was shot several times at an east Wichita apartment complex Saturday morning, and police were looking for her boyfriend.

Police were called to the 10,000 block of East Boston around 9:30 a.m. and they found a woman in her mid-20s with several gunshot wounds.   Police said she was shot by her boyfriend, who ran from the area.

Police said a child was in the apartment at the time of the shooting, but the child was not injured.

No other details were released.
