The American Red Cross is looking for Virtual Disaster Response Volunteers (Disaster Action Team) ahead of the spring severe weather season. Returning volunteers are needed in addition to new ones.
Virtual Disaster Response Volunteers are need to provide emergency disaster assistance for individuals and families. Volunteers respond day and night to meet the immediate need for financial support for food and other provisions, clothing, lost prescription meds, lodging, and other critical supplies.
Training is provided by the Red Cross through multiple online classes. This process can take up to 12 hours depending upon the role.
