Ascension Via Christi Hospitals’ Visitor Guidelines Remain in Place

Ascension Via Christi hospitals eased visitor limitations in March to allow family members at a patient’s bedside as much as possible, but those guidelines will remain in place even as state local officials loosen mandates loosen mandates regarding masks and group sizes. Those changes don’t apply to hospitals, which are held to different standards and regulations.

Therefore, all three of Via Christi’s acute-care hospitals in Wichita (St. Francis, St. Joseph, and St. Teresa, along with the Rehabilitation Hospital) will continue to allow patients that are not under contact precautions to have only two adult visitors at a time from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Other exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

All visitors must enter through the main lobby and meet the entry point screening criteria.
