An unidentified teenager drowned while swimming with friends in a lake at a south Wichita apartment complex.
Crews were called to the Kingston Cove Apartments near 27th Street South and McLean around 2:15 Sunday afternoon. A teen was recovered from the lake and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Police said several teens were swimming in a lake at the complex when one of them went under. The death is still under investigation and the name of the teenager has not been released.
