The Star Spangled Salute is presented by
Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 44-year old Air Force Veteran Sung-Ha Jou. For Sung-ha it was one challenge after another during the pandemic. He lost his job, then his home, then his van and other sources of support. Post pandemic, things looked desperate as he was arriving at a homeless shelter in D.C. On the first day there he got the Covid-19 vaccination and as luck would have it, he was one of the winners of the vaccination lottery in D.C. His prize, ride free for a year on the D.C. metro. Something he desperately needed to help him to his appointments, social services and other important outings as he gets back on his feet while pursuing employment and housing. He said it was literally God sent and he was so grateful. Congratulations on this win Sung-Ha and THANK YOU for your service.
