A Wichita man has been charged with second degree murder for a fatal shooting outside a south Wichita home.
42-year-old Marcello Ibarra appeared in Sedgwick County District Court on Wednesday, and he was formally charged with second degree murder and aggravated assault. His bond was set at $200,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for September 2nd.
Police said Ibarra went to check on 25-year-old Robertino Gomez after leaving a birthday party on the night of August 15th at a home near Blake and Laura. Shots were fired and Gomez was found dead. No information has been released on a motive.
