According to the Salina Police Department, the man who was shot in Salina earlier in the week has died from his injuries.
Camilo Renaldo Ramirez suffered critical injuries in the shooting which happened Monday morning in the 500 block of East Iron. He was transported to a Wichita area hospital where he died on Tuesday.
Salina Police said that reporting Ramirez’s death was delayed because his family wanted to donate his organs.
On August 25th, officers arrested 22-year-old Kiera Stewart, of Salina, and booked her into the Saline County Jail on charges of felony murder and attempted aggravated robbery. Police said they anticipate pending attempted murder charges to be upgraded to felony murder for two other defendants in the case–24-year-old Jaime Leos Jr. and 34-year-old Juan Doroteo Morales.
Police say the case is still under active investigation.
