A jury has found a Wichita man guilty of involuntary manslaughter for a crash over a year ago that killed local radio personality Don Hall.

The Sedgwick County jury got the case Wednesday afternoon and deliberated about an hour before returning the guilty verdict for 44-year-old Ray Watkins.   A judge scheduled sentencing for October 29th.

Police said Watkins was driving under the influence when he ran a red light early on the morning of April 29th, 2020.   His car struck a vehicle driven by the 70-year-old Hall, who was pronounced dead at the scene.    Hall was on his way to do his regular morning radio show for KEYN at the time of the crash.
