Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Congressman Tim Burchett and Veteran Bobby Barnes, the man he saved one day. It all happened during an annual Veterans appreciation lunch. It’s a lunch that representative Burchett had attended many times and chosen the first seat he comes to, this time, he sat closer to Bobby, saying maybe it was God’s will. Well, when Bobby started to choke on his food, Congressman Tim Burchett responded and performed the Heimlich maneuver. After some tense moments, Bobby turned to Tim and said, “You saved my life”. Thank you Congressman for your quick actions, and THANK YOU Bobby for your service.
