The Star Spangled Salute is presented by

Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Air Force Veteran Renee Whisner.  After a car crash in 2014, Renee is paralyzed from the chest down but that is not stopping her from finding a way to pay it forward.  When Renee was in the hospital, the importance of “get well” cards was not lost on her, so she wanted to do the same for the Veterans in Veteran hospitals and nursing homes across her state of Florida.  On Friday, Renee sent out 3,161 cards to let them know there are people thinking of them.  Thank you for your kindness Renee and THANK YOU for your service.
