Wichita’s school district is asking parents to plan ahead for the possibility of school closures.
The district says it is facing a staffing shortage because of COVID, and may be forced to cancel classes in some cases. Parents are advised to have a childcare plan in place ahead of time. In the event that classes need to be cancelled, district officials hope they will be able to give parents a few days notice.
