Senator Jerry Moran and Congressman Ron Estes announced over $771,000 in grants for aviation manufacturers through the Aviation Manufacturing Jobs Protection Program (AMJP).
These funds will help state aviation employers retain 39 employees.
AMJP was created via legislation that was introduced by Moran and Estes. This is the 3rd round of awards through the program. In combination with the 1st and 2nd round grants, the AMJP program has awarded over $111 million to Kansas aviation companies to help retain over 4,700 employees.
AMJP provides funding to eligible businesses to pay to half of their compensation costs for certain categories of employees for up to 6 months.
