Kansas Secretary of Corrections Jeff Zmuda announced that Tommy Williams has been selected as the new warden of the El Dorado Correctional Facility.
Williams began his new role as warden on Feb. 20th, having previously served as deputy warden since April, 2021.
He began his career with the Kansas Dept. of Corrections at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility in June of 1984. Williams was also the co-founder of KDOC’s Defensive Tactics Program.
Williams also served on the board for Sexual Assault Domestic Vioence of Reno County and two terms as a commissioner for the Human Relations Commission of Hutchinson.
