A Clay Center man has been sentenced to more than nine years in prison for child sex crimes committed in 2018.

The Kansas Attorney General’s Office said 29-year-old Jonathan Moore was sentenced in Clay County District Court on one count of indecent liberties with a child, one count of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of criminal sodomy.

Moore pleaded no contest to the charges in January.   Prosecutors said the crimes took place between April and November of 2018.    The case was investigated by Clay Center, Marysville and Topeka police, along with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
