Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 30-year military Veteran Tim Korte. From his enlistment in the waning months of the Vietnam War to the fall of the Berlin Wall, Tim has seen plenty and served plenty but there was always that drive for more. Tim says his time shared between the Army and the Navy showed him every angle of how Veterans were treated, from the good to the bad. Tim’s service to his country led him to help other Veterans and now he is active here in the Wichita community volunteering for WASAC, the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Clinic, as part of the Great Plains Search and Rescue Team.
